A Taste of Del Ray is planned Friday, June 3 through Sunday, June 5. Registration costs $5, and attendees will then visit participating restaurants to purchase $5 tastes. The weekend will be preceded by a VIP reception Thursday, June 2 from 6 to 8PM with unlimited tastes from participating restaurants and a wine tasting. Mobilization of shaft slurry wall equipment to the Royal Street Site is underway! RiverRenew crews are currently moving equipment from AlexRenew to Royal Street to support the start shaft construction later this month. Ahead of this work, seismographs are being installed along Royal and Fairfax Streets this week. WMATA has announced large infrastructure work that will again impact the transit connectivity of our City.
In September, the construction of new tracks to connect the future Potomac Yard Station to the mainline tracks will be completed, along with performance and safety testing required prior to the start of service. The station is expected to open this fall.
