Pre-Leasing Has Begun at Reese

Alexandria's Carlyle Crossing development continues to progress as the first of three apartment communities has begun pre-leasing for the fall. One of the main draws of the development is the opening of the Wegmans grocery store in spring 2022. Residents of Reese will be able to access the Wegmans on the ground floor of their building. Carlyle Crossing will be a mixed-use development with 1.7 million square feet.

Commuter Connections hosts Car Free Day in the Washington, DC region on September 22nd to bring awareness to the benefits of travel options such as transit, bicycling and walking; and also telework for people who can work from home. Carpooling and vanpooling count too, we call that “car-lite” since they are both lighter on the wallet and the environment than driving alone in a car.

New DASH Network

On September 5, 2021, DASH will be launching the New DASH Network, which represents the first phase of the Alexandria Transit Vision (ATV). The new network will be highlighted by a series of frequent, all-day bus lines with buses running every 15 minutes or better, all day, seven days per week in Old Town, the West End, Parkfairfax, Arlandria, Potomac Yard, and the King Street Corridor.
