We gave the platform our all and tried hard to market and promote the service within our community. Enrollment was very low and we felt it best to go in a different direction, to better serve our residents and workers. The last day for the Carlyle Zimride discount is October 31st, 2019.

Read MoreAlexandria City Council approved making changes to on-street parking spaces in two areas adjacent to Carlyle. The first area is on the south side of Eisenhower Avenue along the Hooff’s Run area and the other location is along Jamieson Avenue from Holland Lane to West Street.
Read MoreThe Carlyle Council created our first ever Park(ing) Day ‘Parklet’ in front of Sweet Fire Donna’s. We had over 250 patrons visit our parklet and check out our reclaimed parking spaces. Park(ing) Day is an annual event that takes place the third Friday in September, to help spread awareness about other options of transportation besides single occupancy vehicles. The RiverRenew program includes the construction of a tunnel system to capture the sewage mixed with rainwater at the locations where it currently overflows (called outfalls).
