On September 5, 2021, DASH will be launching the New DASH Network, which represents the first phase of the Alexandria Transit Vision (ATV). The new network will be highlighted by a series of frequent, all-day bus lines with buses running every 15 minutes or better, all day, seven days per week in Old Town, the West End, Parkfairfax, Arlandria, Potomac Yard, and the King Street Corridor.

DASH and the City of Alexandria announce that operation of the King Street Trolley will resume on Monday, July 5. Free daily service along King Street in Old Town Alexandria will return.

Read MoreDASH and Metrobus will start serving the new bays in the bus loop near the station entrance on June 6, 2021, and their temporary bus shelters will be closed. Each new bus bay and the station entrance kiosk will feature new digital screens providing real-time arrival information. New crosswalks and redesigned station lighting have been installed to improve pedestrian visibility.

The Carlyle Shuttle will start up again on March 15th. Shuttle stop locations include: VRE Station, King St. Metro, Dulany St. (at 2000 Duke), Carlyle Towers, Courthouse Square, Ballenger & Dulany, and Jamieson & John Carlyle. The shuttle will run approximately every 10 minutes and will not be in service on federal holidays.
