WABA 50 States for 50 Years Ride

WABA turns 50 this year, and we can’t think of a more fitting way to celebrate 50 years than at the 50 States Ride on Saturday, September 17, 2022 starting at 7:00 AM. For 50 years WABA has been out in the streets making strides in biking advocacy and safety for the people of DC and the region. To celebrate, we have added a celebratory VIP package to the 50 States ride options. The package includes a coffee from Compass Coffee, post ride lunch from Agua 301, a drink voucher, and a special 50th anniversary cycling cap.

The 50 States ride has something for all levels and interests of biking, from a challenging bike ride to a fun way to see highlights of the city. Whether you’re riding by yourself or in a group with new friends, the 50 States Ride really is for everyone. 

• 50 States Classic — This 62 mile ride is a Washington, DC tradition and bucket-list challenge that takes you all over the city on the 50 streets named for the 50 States.

• Low Stress Network Ride — a 30 mile tour of DC’s protected and painted bike lanes that will touch on some parts of the 50 States Route...minus a few of the toughest hills.

• Joy Ride — a breezy 10 mile ride in protected and painted bike lanes.
