SBDC Workshop: Selling to the Commonwealth @ Alexandria Small Business Development Center

This workshop is designed to educate small, woman and/or minority business owners about opportunities to sell their goods and services to the Commonwealth of Virginia and many local governments. Each year the Commonwealth buys goods and services totaling more than $8 billion – learn how your company can be a part of that! The workshop will provide information about the Virginia procurement process, registering in the eVA system and the benefits of SWaM certification.

Harold Melvin’s Blue Notes continue to epitomize Classic Philly Soul with their smooth harmonies, slick style, and nostalgic live performances. The group amassed a string of Number One Hits in the 70’s like “If You Don’t Know Me by Now”, and “Wake Up Everybody”. They continue to take fans down memory lane with career- spanning sets of their romantic hits on tour.

The lead singer Donnell “Big Daddy” Gillespie, was handed the torch by the late great, Teddy Pendergrass.

Big Daddy is joined on stage by a stunning troupe of singers consisting of Anthony Brooks, Clyde”Tyrone”Burwell, Dave Echols, and Keith Matthews.

Back by Popular Demand |  Forever Yours is a classic soul vocal group, specializing in tribute music of the mighty O’Jays. The ensemble is comprised of four talented musicians and vocalists that have a combined entertainment history spanning over thirty years. Group members are Tyrone Toomer, Tony Petty (both formally of the local well known R&B vocal group Lethal Weapon), Kevin “Pierre” Bell, and Lorenzo Johnson. Individually and combined Forever Yours has performed to sold out audiences on both national and international venues from Germany to Blues Alley in Washington, D.C., and have graced the stage with the likes of world renown artists such as, Cuba Gooding and the Main Ingredient, Four Tops Revue, Howard Hewett, Jean Carne, Toney Fontaine, and many others.
