Pure Barre Studio Opens in Carlyle

The newest trend in exercise is now offered in Carlyle. Pure Barre owners Katie Shearin and Marybeth Coleman  opened their Carlyle studio in the beginning of March at 429 John Carlyle Street.  Pure Barre is a national franchise that first came to Washington in spring 2013 with locations in Fairfax and Dupont Circle. According to the company’s website, Pure Barre is the fastest, most effective way to change the shape of your body. Using small isometric movements at the ballet barre set to motivating music, Pure Barre targets problem areas and burns fat in record breaking time. Pure Barre was founded by dancer, choreographer and fitness guru, Carrie Rezabek Dorr.  For more information about rates and class schedule visit them at www.purebarre.com/VA-alexandria.

A Bethesda location just opened in January bringing the number of Pure Barre studios in the Washington area to five. According to Pure Barre’s website, look for more new locations in Capitol Hill, McLean, and Reston in the near future
